SMS Communication Policy for JustGrilIt

1. Purpose

This policy outlines how JustGrilIt uses SMS messages to communicate with customers regarding their food marination orders. The goal is to ensure transparency, compliance, and respect for customer privacy while providing timely updates about their orders.


2. Types of Messages Sent

We use SMS messages only for transactional and service-related purposes.
Examples include:

  • Order Confirmation: “Thank you for your order! We’ve received it and will start marinating shortly.”
  • Order Status Updates: “Your order has been processed and is being prepared.”
  • Delivery Notifications: “Your marinated order is on its way! Expect delivery by 7:30 PM.”
  • Support Messages: “Your query has been received. Our team will contact you soon.”

We do not send promotional or marketing messages via SMS without prior explicit consent.


3. Customer Consent

Customers opt in to receive SMS updates when placing an order or creating an account on our website.
The consent form clearly states:
“By providing your mobile number, you agree to receive SMS updates regarding your orders from JustGrilIt. Message and data rates may apply.”


4. Opt-Out Option

Customers can opt out of SMS notifications at any time by replying:

  • “STOP” to unsubscribe from further messages.

Once opted out, the customer will no longer receive SMS updates unless they re-subscribe.


5. Message Frequency

Customers will receive only essential updates related to their active orders.
Typical message frequency: 1–4 messages per order, depending on order stages.


6. Data Privacy

  • Customer phone numbers are stored securely and used only for order communication.
  • We do not share or sell customer data to third parties.
  • All messages are sent via Twilio, a secure and compliant messaging platform.

This SMS policy adheres to:

  • Twilio’s Acceptable Use Policy
  • Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA)
  • CTIA Messaging Principles and Best Practices
  • GDPR (for EU customers, if applicable)
